Al Sharpton says he might run for president in 2020

There is another hat teetering on the edge of the presidential election ring.

This one belongs to none other than the Rev. Al Sharpton, who recently stated he might be running for president against Trump in 2020.

The More the Merrier

Democrats are expected to have a presidential field to rival the one Trump came out of for the Republicans in 2016.

Already, there are close to a dozen possible interested parties.

Some of the bigger names on the Democrat candidate list are Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Eric Holder, and of course, Hillary Clinton.

There are also several non-politicians on the list considering running against Trump.

That list may now have one additional name: Al Sharpton.

When asked if he would consider running, Sharpton stated: “I never rule anything out.”

The beauty of having so many people on the ticket is that it will be a bloodbath leading up to the primary election.

All the dirty laundry will be aired long before Trump ever has to take a shot at anyone.

Then, while the final few fight it out, Trump will be able to ramp up his campaign to add a little more fuel to the fire.

Dream Opponent

If Trump had to put down a top 5 list of people he wanted to run against, Sharpton would surely be at the top of that list.

In 1992, Sharpton was caught on video talking about “offing cops.”

In that same video, Sharpton referred to white people as “crackers.”

You just know Sharpton would attack Trump as a racist.

But that is pretty hard to do when there is zero proof against Trump — and when there are videos such as these that prove Sharpton is (or at least was) a racist.

If Sharpton were to win the nomination, it would also be very hard for Democrats justify electing him.

After all, he would be a man with no political experience attempting to take over the highest political office in the world.

That is exactly the argument the Dems used against Donald Trump when he was running for office in 2016.

So, please Al, throw your hat into the ring. We’ll be ready.
