For several days now, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has been railing against President Trump and Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta over their alleged ties to accused pedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
As it turns out, Schumer either directly or indirectly benefited from more than $20,000 in donations made by Jeffrey Epstein.
Taking That Cash
From 1992 to 1997, FEC record indicate that Epstein made seven individual payments of $1,000 directly to Schumer’s campaign.
In 1998, Epstein wrote a check for $10,000 to Victory in New York. This was a fundraising committee that had been established by Chuck Schumer and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Finally, Epstein donated $5,000 to Win New York. This was another Schumer-associated committee to benefit the Liberal Party of New York state.
That is a total of $22,000 that went either directly to Schumer or to a committee that directly benefited Schumer. This is not the first time a questionable individual has lined the pockets of Schumer.
More than $14,000 in donations were previously tracked back to Harvey Weinstein. In that case, after it was made public, Schumer stated he would donate a like donation to charities supporting women.
That was also his answer this time around, as his office promised to donate $22,000 to “anti-sex trafficking and anti-violence against women groups.”
With those skeletons in Chuck’s closet, you would think he would keep his mouth shut, but that was and is hardly the case. Schumer, in fact, went on three separate attacks this week against the Trump administration over Jeffrey Epstein.
First, he demanded Alex Acosta, who was the Miami prosecutor in the original case against Epstein in 2008, resign from Trump’s administration.
Second, he demanded the Justice Department investigate the handling of the case by Acosta. Finally, Schumer demanded Trump provide more information about his relationship with Epstein.
Meanwhile, we have not heard Schumer say a single word over the fact that democrat darling Bill Clinton made numerous suspicious trips on Epstein’s private plane.
