Schiff says ‘no sign’ Trump can be impeached

Adam Schiff had the pleasure of breaking the bad news to California Democrats this weekend at the state party convention.

Schiff informed them that right now, there is “no sign” an impeachment of Donald Trump would succeed.

Vote Him Out

Nancy Pelosi was almost jeered off the stage when she spoke. At one point, you almost could not hear what she was saying because the audience was screaming so loudly for impeachment.

Schiff knew that he better say something to calm down the crowd when he took the stage.

Schiff stated, “Now I know that many of you would like to see us impeach this president, and that may become necessary. He seems to be doing everything in his power to make it so.”

“But let us not lose sight as we debate the merits of impeachment that, unless the GOP leadership in the Senate finds a backbone it shows no sign of possessing, there is going to be only one way to end this nightmare and to send Mr. Trump packing, and that is to vote the bums out of office — all of them, including the one at 1600 Pennsylvania.”

Party Losing Control

The temperament at the convention made it pretty clear Democrat leaders are going to have to answer to their constituents if they do not move on impeaching Trump.

At last count, there were almost five dozen Democrats in Congress openly calling for the impeachment of Trump.

Now, that may not sound like a lot, but this started with less than a dozen of the New Breed calling for Trump’s impeachment. The bothersome thing for Democrat leaders is that some of those voices are among the most powerful in the party.

In addition to the New Breed, Rep. Jerry Nadler and virtually every presidential candidate has said they think Trump should be impeached.

Democrat leadership has backed itself into a corner so deep their own strategy has now backfired on them.

Impeach and lose the battle, or don’t impeach and lose the voters… their choice.
