Satellite Images Capture Greenhouse-Gas Leak From Nord Stream

Estimated to be the equivalent of burning 2 million pounds of coal per hour

The greenhouse gas leak from the vandalized Nord Stream pipelines from Russia to Germany was captured on satellite imaging.

A report in the Daily Mail confirmed the methane leak from the pipeline that reportedly was bombed was shown to have been leaking gas at the rate of 174,000 pounds per hour.

Analysts largely have attributed the problems with the damaged and leaking pipelines to sabotage, but the report reveals that imagery from the satellite company GHGSat shows the stream of methane, a “potent greenhouse gas,” that appeared over the Baltic sea off Sweden’s coast.

“The methane in the image leaked from a single rupture point on Nord Stream 2 – one of two pipelines linking Russia to Germany that were thought to be deliberately damaged late last month,” the report explained.

Such gases are considered detrimental to the earth’s climate by “global warming” warriors, and part of their agenda is to handicap the world’s energy systems by limiting or even removing access to them.

The satellite company, in an updated post just days ago, said its “high-resolution satellite measured the largest emission detected by the company’s constellation to date coming from the Nord Stream 2 leak in the Baltic Sea at a rate of 79,000 kg/h. This is a substantial emission equivalent to more than two million pounds of coal being burned in an hour.”

Stephane Germain, founderthe, said, “What our satellites observed is a significant emission coming from one of the four leaks in the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and underscores the critical role technology can play in a crisis situation. Moving forward, satellite observations and data will play an increasingly important role in the detection and mitigation of significant emissions, such as this.”

The satellite company confirmed that later after the Danish Energy Agency said the leaks were stopped, its satellite “had a clear observation over Nord Stream 2 on October 3rd and did not detect any emissions.”

The satellite company noted that Nord Stream 1 recently stopped delivering natural gas to Germany and Nord Stream 2 hadn’t begun operations, but they still contained pressurized gas.

Swedish authorities have said the undersea pipelines showed signs of “sabotage and multiple ‘detonations.'”

WND has reported that Fox News talk show host Tucker Carlson already had speculated that it was the administration of Joe Biden that was responsible for the explosions.

He reported shortly after the damage was reported to the pipelines, which had been able to deliver Russian natural gas to Europe, that, “The people lecturing you about your SUV may have blown up a natural gas pipeline and created one of the great catastrophes of our time in its effect on the environment.”

He wrote in an online commentary at the time that it was “one of the great environmental catastrophes of our time, is unfolding tonight off the coast of Denmark.”

“As we speak, Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 are pouring millions of cubic meters of natural gas into the Baltic Sea. Pictures from the air … You can only guess at how many marine mammals are being killed right now – countless. But the lasting damage may be to the atmosphere.”

Now Carlson is charging that the Biden administration has confessed to doing the damage.

In a new video commentary, he noted who did it is “not much of a question anymore.”

That’s because Tony Blinken, Biden’s secretary of state, “admitted we did it.”

There’s “no mistaking what he meant,” Carlson said.

Blinken, in fact, said, “It’s a tremendous opportunity once and for all to remove the dependence on Russian energy, and thus to take away from Vladimir Putin the weaponization of energy as a means of advancing his imperial designs.”

Blinken said, “That’s very significant and that offers tremendous strategic opportunities for the years to come.”

Carlson said, “That’s the clearest admission we’re ever going to get. … No one could miss it, least of all the Russians. … The Biden administration is responsible either directly or through proxies for the destruction of the … pipeline.”

Joe Biden previously had said, on camera, that he might take out those pipelines.

Biden said at the time that, “If Russia invades … there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.”

Asked how, he refused to answer, saying, “I promise you we’ll be able to do it.
