It is really rather astonishing how quickly Democrats try to rewrite the rules.
Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton joked, “China, if you’re listening, why don’t you get Trump’s tax returns.” Asked by reporters to respond, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders replied, “Honestly, I’m baffled by it and it’s truly astonishing comments from Secretary Clinton.”
When Trump Said It…
During one of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump’s rallies, Trump joked with the crowd that he wished Russia would get Hillary’s missing emails and make them public.
Trump was clearly not petitioning the Russians for help, but that is not how it was portrayed by the media and Democrats.
After Trump because president, Democrats blatantly accused him of soliciting the Russians for help during the election over that specific incident.
They were actually using this as proof for their collusion theory!
How Things Change
Generally, you would expect someone using an incident such as that for allegations of such a serious crime NOT to joke about it.
Hillary Clinton, in her ever-continuing quest to become relevant again, decided to do just that, though.
During an appearance with the collusion-obsessed Rachel Maddow of MNSBC, Hillary Clinton said, “Imagine, Rachel, that you had one of the Democratic nominees for 2020 on your show, and that person said, you know, the only other adversary of ours who is anywhere near as good as the Russians is China. So why should Russia have all the fun? And since Russia is clearly backing Republicans, why don’t we ask China to back us?”
“And not only that, China, if you’re listening, why don’t you get Trump’s tax returns?” she added. “I’m sure the media would richly reward you.”
Now, correct me if I am wrong, but by using the new standard set by Democrats, did Hillary Clinton not just approach China for help to influence a presidential election?
Not a single Democrat has denounced Hillary Clinton’s statement. You see, the rules go out the window when it comes to the Democrats.
