Sarah Sanders files Arkansas election paperwork for Trump campaign

Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders proudly confirmed her continued support for and friendship with Donald Trump on Friday.

Thanks to Sanders, President Trump is officially on the Arkansas ballot for the 2020 presidential election. Sanders filed the proper paperwork in the state for Donald Trump’s campaign, according to Little Rock’s ABC News affiliate, KATV.

Still Supporting Trump

Sanders may not be Trump’s press secretary any longer, but she is still stumping for Trump and has no plans to stop.

At every turn thus far, she has had nothing but nice things to say about him, so it was no surprise Trump gave her the honor of filing his paperwork for the election in Arkansas.

Sanders has always been a loyal soldier, but her days of being Trump’s surrogate will probably end after the election, because many anticipate Sanders will be running for the governor’s mansion in Arkansas.

Winning Arkansas

Right now, there is no campaign stop set for Arkansas, but that will hopefully change. If there was one lesson that should have been learned during the 2016 election, it is that nothing can ever be taken for granted.

Hillary Clinton ignored voters in a number of key states because she thought she considered them already won, and it cost her dearly.

Sanders seems to be confident that Arkansas will fall for Trump regardless of whether or not he visits the state, however.

“Even if the president doesn’t come to Arkansas, I still think he’ll win by 20 or 30 points. So, he doesn’t have to because this is a state that’s going to vote for Donald Trump, but we’d love to have him,” she said. “We’d love to welcome him here, and I know if he came it would be a rock-star-like reception.”

That is exactly the reason Trump needs to visit Arkansas, though. A visit like that could do wonders for his national image and, as stated above, it is never wise to take voters for granted.

Trump will surely be visiting Arkansas’ neighboring states, so it would be nice to see him pop in, even if only for a quick rally.
