Pelosi all but admits the Russian investigation is bogus

March 13, 2019 by Jerry McCormick

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has essentially admitted that the special counsel investigation into President Donald Trump and Russia is complete nonsense.

While the radical members of her party are itching to impeach Trump, Pelosi appears to accept that the investigation isn’t going to provide the evidence required for impeachment. She told the Washington Post on Monday, “I’m not for impeachment.”

“This is news,” she continued. “I’m going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country.”

The Russian Collusion

For more than two years, Democrats have been telling us all that Trump should not even be president. The Russians bought the election for him and he needs to go to jail, they say.

If that were actually the case, and Trump really did collude with the Russians to win the election, there would be just as many conservatives in line to impeach him as there would be liberals.

Now, all of a sudden, Pelosi is saying she needs “compelling and overwhelming” evidence to back a move to impeach Trump — which she doesn’t have.

What does that tell us?

Now that we’re down to the wire, Pelosi is basically admitting that Robert Mueller’s investigation into the collusion allegations is bogus. And she’s known all along that there was never anything to it.

The Dems clamored for impeachment for nearly two years, undermining the Trump administration’s credibility and stirring up division and partisanship.

Breaking from Nancy

After Pelosi confirmed she is not interested in impeaching Trump, plenty of voices within the party expressed disappointment. It was only a few days ago Maxine Waters was on national TV telling everyone she wanted to impeach Trump.

There are also rumblings among some of the younger, more radical members of Congress that are saying they are still going to move forward with introducing articles of impeachment against Trump.

Pelosi knows the truth, though, and that is that her party has engaged in political theater rather than the truth. She also knows she will not have a leg to stand on if they move forward with impeachment.
