Over the last week, the media has taken unprecedented steps to fight the potential for a second term for President Donald Trump.
After the initiation of a new and very bizarre strategy led by The New York Times, Rush Limbaugh has had enough. He stated: “I’ve never seen this degree of panic. And some will say this is not panic. This is satanic. However you want to characterize this, this is an act of pure desperation.”
What The New York Times is attempting to do is rewrite history. The publication is doing this to vilify the beginnings of this country as well as push the racist narrative against Trump.
In the process, the paper is portraying the United States as a despicable country with a truly dishonorable past.
A recent feature in The New York Times is trying to claim the origin of this country should be dated at 1619 rather than 1776. This specific date was chosen because it was the first time slaves were brought into Virginia for sale.
Rush stated: “If they really think that there is a presidential election to be won, just waiting to be won by convincing Americans that everything about their country is a lie, that it’s truly a horrible place, and that everything great, supposedly great is now disqualified because it wouldn’t have happened without slavery, they think that is going to prevail over the message behind Make America Great Again or Keep America Great Again?”
This is something that is not going away anytime soon, as the Washington Post has already jumped on the bandwagon of this movement. If these two papers are pushing this narrative, you better believe Democrats will push it as well.
Winning by Shame
The goal here is to ultimately make Americans ashamed of who they are as well as their country. This narrative has clearly been a focus of the more extreme progressives in the presidential race.
Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, and Beto O’Rourke are all pushing for slavery reparations. Of those three, though, only Elizabeth Warren is really in the running. The new wave of Democrats is ashamed of this country and they are going to use that shame to not only try to regain the White House but to also change the Constitution.
Look no further than the recent comments by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who called the Electoral College a “scam” and saying it is weighted to devalue the votes of minorities.
It is an absurd claim, but it is one the mainstream media is already pushing and undoubtedly something presidential candidates will start to mimic in their stump speeches.
At this point, Democrats will do anything to win, even if it means — as Rush put it — using a “satanic” strategy to achieve their ultimate goal.
