It looks like the network is ruining any chance Roseanne Barr would have ever had at a comeback.
According to John Goodman, he will be “mopey and sad” over the death of his wife.
Roseanne Barr paid a dear price for voicing her opinion.
After sending out some tweets that brought on allegations or racism, her self-title show was ripped out from under her.
Barr immediately owned up to her mistake, but it made little difference in the eyes of the network.
Within hours of her tweets, the network announced the cancellation of her revised show.
Not wanting to completely cut ties with the show, the network soon thereafter announced a spinoff that was in essence a Roseanneless Roseanne.
The entire cast of the original show, sans Barr, will now be featured in The Connors.
Goodman was quick to dismiss the allegations against his former TV wife.
“I know, I know, for a fact that she’s not racist,” Goodman stated
He also said he tried to reach out to her after she was removed from the show.
Goodman wanted to thank her for signing an agreement with ABC to relinquish her ties to the show, so he sent her an email.
“I did not hear anything back, but she was going through hell at the time. And she’s still going through hell,” Goodman added.
After all they went through together and after all she did to help his career, all he could muster was an email! Really?
Even though she lost her show, Barr has continued to voice her opinion about the current political climate on social media.
They can knock her down, but it does not appear as though they can keep her there.
