Resurfaced video shows Biden using vulgar language to refer to US troops

Democratic White House hopeful Joe Biden was caught on camera using unthinkable language to speak about America’s troops.

According to the Washington Examiner, resurfaced video shows the former vice president giving a speech to soldiers at an undisclosed location in January 2017. There, Biden referred to the troops as “stupid b****rds.”

“I have incredibly good judgment,” Biden can be heard saying, according to the Washington Examiner. “One, I married Jill, and two, I appointed Johnson to the academy. I just want you to know that. Clap for that, you stupid b******s.”

(At least Republican Jeb Bush was polite when asking people to clap for him.)

“You can’t lead them”

As the Washington Examiner noted, the clip of Biden has come back to the forefront just weeks after a story in The Atlantic alleged that President Donald Trump had called fallen soldiers” losers” and “suckers.”

Biden immediately used that story to his advantage. “Mr. President,” he tweeted, “if you don’t respect our troops, you can’t lead them.”

Now, it seems Joe Biden has disqualified himself from being commander-in-chief. Take a look at video shared by the Washington Examiner:

Just a joke?

The question with this video is if Biden’s remarks were a genuine Freudian slip, a poorly delivered joke, or yet another sign of Biden’s allegedly declining mental state.

Andrew Bates, director of rapid response for the Biden campaign, has responded to the video with a statement saying the comments were all in good fun. “Vice President Biden was jokingly encouraging the audience to clap for an airwoman on the stage, and a number of service members can be seen laughing and smiling at the comment,” he told the Washington Examiner.

It remains to be seen whether voters are buying Bates’ argument. While his comments about the troops’ reactions are subjective, there’s no denying that Biden has been caught on camera disparaging our men and women in uniform.

Democrats seemed to think the anonymously sourced, anti-Trump story was in The Atlantic was credible. Why not this very real video?
