For more than a week, Democrats have pointed to President Donald Trump’s tweets telling four Democratic congresswomen to “go back” to their countries of origin as an example of his racism.
But if that’s the case, they’re going to have to explain how Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s 2015 tweet about deporting Donald Trump is not considered to be just as vulgar.
Deporting “The Donald”
For the past week, all we have been hearing about is how racist Donald Trump is for some tweets he sent out about members of the so-called “Squad.”
But while the Dems were passing a resolution in the House to condemn Trump’s remarks, most of us were shaking our heads in disbelief.
That’s because in December 2015, long before Trump was elected, Tlaib tweeted out a similar remark, Sean Hannity reports.
Speaking about Trump, who was born in the U.S., Tlaib wrote on Twitter: “Deport this a**hole!”
Her tweet came alongside a link to an article from The Guardian about Trump’s then-proposal for a travel ban on majority Muslim countries.
Democratic Party Hypocrisy
Tlaib used different words, but shared the same sentiment as Donald Trump.
Still, we have never heard a single word from Democrats to decry Tlaib’s vulgarity.
Those who have been brave enough to address the tweet simply say Tlaib was angry and upset at Trump’s stance, so her reaction is understandable and acceptable.
This is just another example of the rampant hypocrisy that characterizes the Democratic Party.
When will it end?
