Being a conservative these days is, unfortunately, very risky business.
Tom Courtney, a restaurant owner in Tennessee, said he has received multiple death threats over his choice to host a political event for GOP Rep. Marsha Blackburn (TN), who is currently running for Senate in the state.
No Free Choice
Remember the days when people could debate reasonably over political ideology?
That all changed the day Donald Trump won the presidency.
Now, we have elected representatives openly condoning violence against conservative and GOP elected representatives.
This is being done for one reason: so Dems can regain power.
All the rhetoric people like Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and Hillary Clinton are spewing is finally starting to take hold.
Actually, it was Hillary Clinton who only a couple of weeks ago told people not to be civil when it came to dealing with conservatives.
In this case, far-left whackos took to threatening a business owner when they learned his restaurant was going to the be the site of an event for a Republican.
“I have never in my life experienced such a thing,” Courtney said. “It’s scary.”
Liberals are using any and all methods possible to scare Courtney.
The owner of Courtney’s Restaurant in Catering said he is getting phone calls and online messages threatening him and his business.
He has even been called a Nazi sympathizer for holding the event.
Sadly, customers that have been eating at the establishment for years say they will no longer patronize his restaurant over the hosting of the event.
Rep. Blackburn was horrified when she heard what was happening to the business owner.
“The radical Left is out of control and their angry mob is right here in Tennessee,” Blackburn said.
She added: “Tom, we appreciate your opening your restaurant up to us, and we hope you are treated with the same respect as you treat your customers.”
Courtney hopes the anger will eventually blow over, but in the meantime, his business and its employees are suffering.
Correct me if I am wrong, but for a party that constantly preaches they want unity, they are doing an awful lot to ostracize conservatives and create a divide.
