Republicans on the House Oversight Committee unmasked the real Joe Biden this week with a damning report on his family's global influence peddling scheme.
The report traces a complex web of transactions, often in tiny increments and involving a complicated web of shell companies.
Republicans say the transactions were deliberately muddled so as to keep the money transfers hidden.
“These complicated financial transactions appear to conceal the source of the funds and reduce the conspicuousness of the total amounts made into the Biden bank accounts,” the committee said.
All told, the Biden family and its associates received over $10 million in wire transfers from shadowy foreign companies. The beneficiaries included Hunter Biden's sister-in-law and former girlfriend, Hallie Biden, and one of Joe Biden's grandchildren.
Committee chair James Comer (KY) emphasized that their report contains actual bank records, despite the efforts of Democrats and their media allies to dismiss the scandal as a "conspiracy theory."
"We're actually giving you a memorandum with evidence," Comer said.
The first part of the report includes bank records reflecting transactions of $1 million from a Romanian businessman to Biden accounts, while the second details a web of transactions involving China, including a $100,000 transfer to a Hunter Biden-owned company and over $1 million to the Biden family.
Significantly, many of the transactions occurred while Biden was vice president. More than 20 different shell companies were involved, most of them created during Biden's vice presidency.
The Chinese sources set up a dense web of shell companies in the United States to hide the money, Republicans said, noting that the Chinese individuals involved had ties to China's communist party. The pro-Biden media have largely ignored the report, despite its factual findings.
Comer chastised the media for leaving Congress to do the kind of investigative work journalists used to perform. He emphasized that there is no trace the Bidens were recompensed for legitimate business.
The 36-page report contradicts Biden's preposterous claim that his family never profited off the Biden name, and it dispels Biden's public image of a clean, "decent" patriot defending "democracy."
"The Bidens have received millions of dollars from China. It is inconceivable that the president did not know," Comer said.
Comer warned that the investigation is "in the beginning stages," and his report notes that investigations are also ongoing into the Biden family's dealings in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and Oman.
