Pundits from both sides of the political aisle are now in solid agreement that Democrats will take a beating in the upcoming November midterms, and Republicans will gain control of the House and, now, possibly the Senate.
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) is the latest lawmaker to explain why she believes Republicans will score such huge wins, claiming that it’s the Democrats’ “destructive” policies on a wide range of issues that will help Republicans score historic victories later this year, Fox News reports.
Some of those white-hot issues include parents being targeted for simply being concerned about what their children are learning in school, and related topics.
Malliotakis pointed out that it wasn’t long ago that such issues were responsible for nearly flipping New Jersey to a Republican-led state in the governor’s mansion.
Connecting parents to school
The New York Republican explained during a recent interview that she’s helped introduce legislation that would help bring parents closer and more involved in what happens inside the classroom.
“Parents should absolutely have a say in their child’s education,” Malliotakis said.
She added: “That’s why Republican members of Congress introduced legislation, Julia Letlow and I, we’ve introduced legislation to give parents access to the curriculum, access to reading material, making sure they have an opportunity to meet with teachers twice a year, giving them an opportunity to protect their child’s private and personal information from third parties.”
Malliotakis also insisted that schools should get back to teaching children essential survival skills instead of focusing on woke, progressive topics that only end in controversy.
“There will be a lesson learned this November when Democrats are voted out in droves. You saw New Jersey governor [Phil Murphy] almost lost, and Virginia was flipped,” she added.
Republicans registering
In just one of many examples of how bloody November will be for the Democrats, Reuters reported recently that in Pennsylvania, “Republicans are registering formerly Democratic voters at four times the rate that Democrats are making the reverse conversion.”
The outlet called it one of many “warning signs” for Democrats.
Only time will tell how many seats flip from blue to red. With the progressive, radical policies of the left, such a change can’t come soon enough.
