In a recent Tweet, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) took a shot at the Trump administration for being anti-LGBT.
But what Omar failed to realize is that she herself isn’t exactly the epitome of LGBT rights, either.
Omar’s tweet came in response to President Donald Trump’s denial of the request to allow the Gay Pride Flag to be flown at embassies.
This is another blatant example of this administration’s bigotry and discrimination against the LGBTQIA+ community. https://t.co/K6Rt3O1LMg

Louder than words
It is pretty easy to send out a tweet to support the LBGT community, but what you actually do says far more about your personal beliefs.
Omar is an active and supporting member for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
She has regularly attended events to help the organization raise money.
In fact, one of her most recent appearances was one of the reasons she came under so much scrutiny for making anti-Semitic comments.
CAIR is not exactly an LGBT-friendly organization. The organization was founded by members of the Sunni Islamist Muslim Brotherhood.
This is a group that posted on one of its social media accounts that homosexuality is “evil” as well as a “quick way to earn God’s wrath.”
That is not exactly a ringing endorsement of the LGBT community.
Next time you have a few minutes, scan through the rhetoric spewed by leading members of CAIR, then tell us how hypocritical the statements of Rep. Ilhan Omar really are.
The sad fact, though, is we are doing more research on this subject than the mainstream media, because they would never publicly call out one of the darlings of the “New Left” over such a hypocritical statement.
