Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced on Tuesday that she was endorsing former Vice President Joe Biden’s White House bid.
But Clinton’s endorsement didn’t sit well with Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer for Biden who has accused the then-senator of sexually assaulting her in 1993. According to Breitbart, Reade responded to Clinton’s announcement by slamming the failed 2016 presidential hopeful and accusing her of “enabling” sexual predators like Joe Biden.
“A history of enabling”
Reade went public with her accusation in late March, but has been largely ignored by Democrats and the media in a manner that reveals the left’s blatant hypocrisy when it comes to things like the #MeToo movement.
Notably, the topic of Reade’s allegations against Biden did not come up for discussion when Clinton announced her endorsement — despite it occurring as part of a virtual town hall event ostensibly dedicated to women’s issues, of which sexual assault and harassment are most assuredly included.
“I voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. I voted for her in the primary. I’m a lifelong Democrat. But yet, what I see now is someone enabling a sexual predator and it was my former boss, Joe Biden, who raped me,” Reade told Fox News in an exclusive statement this week, according to Breitbart.
“Hillary Clinton has a history of enabling powerful men to cover up their sexual predatory behaviors and their inappropriate sexual misconduct,” Reade continued. “We don’t need that for this country. We don’t need that for our new generation coming up that wants institutional rape culture to change.
“I will not be smeared, dismissed or ignored. I stand in truth and I will keep speaking out,” Reade added defiantly, Breitbart reported.
Clinton’s friend list
Reade was not lying or exaggerating when she pointed out Clinton’s history of “enabling” sexual predators, with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, being first and foremost on that list.
Also making Clinton’s list of predatory friends are former New York congressman Anthony Weiner, the now-dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and disgraced Hollywood mogul and Democrat financier Harvey Weinstein.
As for Reade’s allegation, while Biden’s campaign has flatly denied that it ever occurred, Biden himself has yet to address the topic or even be directly asked about by a member of the media.
Interestingly, Reade pointed out to Fox in her statement that there was one way in which her allegation could be corroborated, or debunked, with Biden’s help: the unsealing of his Senate records that are currently being held by the University of Delaware.
“I’m calling for the release of the documents being held by the University of Delaware that contain Biden’s staff personnel records because I believe it will have my complaint form, as well as my separation letter and other documents,” Reade said in her Fox interview. “Maybe if other staffers that have tried to file complaints would come to light — why are they under seal? And why won’t they be released to the public?”
