The left absolutely lost their minds — again — after it was announced on Wednesday that former CIA Director John Brennan had been stripped of his security clearance by the White House.
Brennan is suspected of being highly involved in what appears to be a scheme by the prior Obama administration to spy on and undermine then-candidate Donald Trump’s campaign, later to subvert and overthrow his incoming administration.
Since leaving government and joining NBC as an analyst, it has also been suspected that Brennan had “monetized” his security clearance and the wealth of knowledge he gained from it.
Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is one of those who suspected that Brennan was misusing or abusing the privilege of maintaining a security clearance after leaving government service, and had been one of the few voices calling on President Trump to revoke it, doing so publicly back in July.
Today I will meet with the President and I will ask him to revoke John Brennan’s security clearance!

Paul “applauds” Brennan’s revocation
In an official statement released by his Senate office, Paul stated, “I applaud President Trump for his revoking of John Brennan’s security clearance. I urged the President to do this.”
“I filibustered Brennan’s nomination to head the CIA in 2013, and his behavior in government and out of it demonstrates why he should not be allowed near classified information,” he continued.
Indeed. Brennan has been accused of spying on American citizens and elected members of Congress, and then lied under oath to Congress when asked about the allegations.
“He participated in a shredding of constitutional rights, lied to Congress, and has been monetizing and making partisan political use of his clearance since his departure,” added Paul.
Misuse of privilege
Since leaving government service and becoming a paid TV analyst for MSNBC, Brennan has repeatedly attacked the president and current administration and repeatedly implied that he is aware of classified information that will eventually bring down the presidency … a blatantly partisan and politicized misuse of his privileged security clearance.
Trump did the right thing by revoking Brennan’s security clearance. Hopefully, his other comrades in the scheme to undermine and overthrow Trump’s administration will also see their own security clearances revoked.
The left can whine and complain all they want about the revocation of Brennan’s security clearance and falsely claim that it silences his free speech — which it obviously doesn’t, as evidenced by Brennan’s continued tweets, MSNBC appearances and New York Times column.
In reality, the media is just mad that one of their favorite sources for leaked sensitive information just had his supply cut off.
