Rand Paul threatens to expose whistleblower’s identity
While there has been much speculation about the identity of the so-called “whistleblower” who sounded the alarm on President Donald Trump’s July call with Ukraine, Americans may soon learn his true identity.
The whistleblower was just put on notice by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), who, according to Breitbart, threatened to expose his identity because he is a “material witness” to Joe Biden’s corruption.
Expose the Whistleblower
Democrats have been trying to keep the identity of the whistleblower secret because they know if this individual is exposed, it is going to crush their case.
Rumors have been circulating for days that Eric Ciaramella is the person who filed the initial complaint on which this entire impeachment hinges.
This is not a name Democrats want out there — and for good reason. Ciaramella is a current CIA analyst, but that is not where the problem lies.
In 2015, he was assigned to the National Security Council (NSC) and he worked hand-in-hand with then-Vice President Joe Biden.
When the changeover occurred to the Trump administration, it is Ciaramella who was suspected of leaking information to the media to undermine Trump. In 2017, he was transferred back to the CIA. Clearly, this man had an ax to grind against Trump — and now, he is getting his wish.
Not Breaking the Law
According to Sen. Paul, the only person prohibited from revealing the identity of the whistleblower is the Inspector General. As such, he stated that he is not breaking any laws by revealing who this individual is.
Furthermore, Paul said he will more than likely reveal the identity of the individual and he has absolutely no problem doing so.
Something that also makes this case rather unique is the fact this same person can be used as a material witness against Joe Biden because, as stated above, he worked for the former vice president.
Not only did he work for Biden, but he also happened to be working with him at the time Biden was threatening to hold back an aid check and Hunter Biden was getting rich off a Ukrainian company called Burisma Holdings.
To this point, Republicans have refused to play dirty to defend Trump. It now appears, though, that Sen. Paul is among the first that is willing to roll up his sleeves and do what needs to be done in order to expose Joe Biden’s corruption. Good on him.
