President Joe Biden is requesting billions in funds from Congress in order to facilitate even more illegal immigration.
The President asked Congress last Thursday to fund more travel and housing programs for illegal immigrants, a majority of whom are economic immigrants.
How much does the President want from Congress to fund even more illegal immigration? The President wants a staggering $3.3 billion in funding even as many Americans struggle in an uncertain economy.
Mark Krikorian, director of the Center for Immigration Studies, explained, "If DHS was using the money to actually stop the flow of illegal aliens, Republicans will be falling all over themselves to vote for it. But that’s not what this administration wants to with the do extra money for DHS — they want to use it to speed up the arrival of people who have no right to be here."
President Biden has no intentions of pumping the brakes on both legal and illegal immigration even as the nation continues to suffer from inflation and decreasing wages.
Republicans have already made it abundantly clear that under no circumstances will they comply with the President's request for more billions.
Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) and a dozen other Texas representatives issued a statement saying, "Simply put, no member of Congress should agree to fund a federal agency at war with his state and people. We have a moral obligation to protect our states, our nation, and, importantly, the migrant children getting abused from the disaster transpiring at our southern border."
Republicans have been fighting to shut down the southern border since President Biden was sworn in three years ago but they have had little success.
Mass illegal immigration seems to be a feature, not a bug, of the President's agenda and it is coming at the expense of the American people.
Thankfully, it might not just be Republicans demanding change soon. Thanks to some clever moves by Republican governors, Democrats are having to deal with the consequences of Biden's mass illegal immigration.
Republican states like Texas have had enough and began shipping illegal immigrants to blue states where many Democrats claimed they would fulfill the "moral obligation" to take care of immigrants.
However, after Republicans shipped untold numbers of illegal immigrants to states like New York, Washington D.C., and Illinois, Democrats have had enough and are begging for help.
New York City Mayor Eric Adams whined at a news conference, "One time we had to deal with Republican governors sending migrants to New York. Now we’re dealing with Democratic governors sending migrants to New York." Suddenly, it seems Adams no longer wants New York City to be a sanctuary city.
Other Democrats who promised to provide sanctuary and blasted Republicans as bigoted xenophobes have also had a change of heart. Hopefully, this will create enough pressure to stop the President's insane open borders agenda.
