Politicians are often criticized for being out of touch with the common American, but Transporation Secretary Pete Buttigieg proved it’s worse than we thought.
According to the Daily Caller, during a radio interview with mega-popular host Charlamagne Tha God, Mayor Pete, who has an unflattering history with race and politics as it is, actually appeared to be surprised when the host told him that Black Americans aren’t happy with the Democratic Party.
A high-level Cabinet official should be well aware of the polls, which indicated that President Joe Biden and Democrats, in general, are losing popular support from Black voters, but faking as if he wasn’t aware of such a fact just made the situation exponentially more awkward.
The drop in support from Blacks is just the latest in a long and growing list of problems facing the Biden administration and the Democratic Party.
When presented with what you would have thought was ground-breaking news looking at Buttiegieg’s face, the secretary’s response was a cringeworthy event.
“You do realize, Pete, a lot of Black people feel like Democrats have kept no promises since they’ve been in office,” Charlamagne Tha God said.
“Really?” Buttigieg replied, to which the host said, “yes.”
“A lot of Black people feel like Democrats have kept no promises.”

It gets worse
Buttigieg, clearly stunned and unsure how to respond, rambled on about the infrastructure bill passed last year. However, the host didn’t let him off the hook that easily, even as Charlamagne himself spewed a line of misinformation regarding what he called “voter suppression bills.”
“But I’m talking about things like things you campaigned on like the George Floyd Policing Act and the fact that our voting rights, man, like 19 states have implemented voter suppression bills. You know, that’s going to directly impact us the most and the only strategy Democrats are gonna have is we have got to go out there and vote in mass numbers to fight it. That’s not a strategy, hope is not a strategy.”
Buttigieg responded again: “But look, I don’t think anyone on our side is satisfied with how far we’ve come on whether it’s the George Floyd Policing Act, whether it’s voting rights, what I’ll say is we’re pushing for as much as we can get in terms of results in Congress and taking whatever executive actions are available to use.”
Watching Democratic voters turn on the very people who’ve hoaxed them for decades is simply wonderful to watch, and this exchange proves that the Biden administration is in serious trouble.
