Report: Pence says Biden would ‘stifle’ job creation in the wake of COVID-19

The automotive industry has fueled the state of Michigan’s economy for decades. But while visiting the Great Lake State this week, Vice President Mike Pence revealed that would all go down the drain if Americans put a Democrat in the White House on Nov. 3.

In what was nothing short of a nightmare for Joe Biden’s campaign as he struggles to catch up to President Donald Trump on the economy, Pence said Friday that the Democrat’s policies would “stifle” employment in Michigan’s automotive industry and hinder economic recovery in the U.S. in the wake of COVID-19, Breitbart reported.

According to Breitbart, the vice president contrasted this grim prediction with President Trump’s proven results.

“In our first three years, businesses large and small created more than 7 million jobs, including more than 500,000 manufacturing jobs all across America,” Pence said Friday.

“We made America great again”

If we had the benefit of hindsight, most Americans would probably agree that coronavirus-related business shutdowns went on for far too long. While we may have needed the 15 days — or even a month — to slow the spread, perhaps we could have ended lockdowns on the economy sooner had we managed the disease itself better.

All the lockdown really did was given Democrats the excuse they needed to crash the economy ahead of Election Day.

But that won’t stop Team Trump from highlighting all the good that the president has done during his first term in the Oval Office.

“In three short years, we created the greatest economy in the history of the world,” Vice President Pence said Friday. “In a word, we made America great again.

“And then the coronavirus struck from China,” he added. Take a look:

Getting back on track

As Pence intimated Friday, if the U.S. is going to come out of this pandemic without finding itself in a recession, the choice seems pretty clear who needs to be elected president this November.

Due to the tragic loss of some businesses, we are going to need an environment where new businesses and jobs can be created freely — and President Trump has already proven that that’s his goal.
