Even prisoners hate pedophiles, an urban legend that was proven true last week in Florida.
A convicted pedophile was drowned to death in the cell toilet by a fellow inmate at the Duval County Jail.
Even Criminals Have Standards
It has always been prison lore that even the most violent of criminals will look at a pedophile or rapist with disgust and contempt.
For that reason, prisons will sometimes keep these prisoners away from the general population.
David Oseas Ramirez was not afforded that courtesy. The 56-year-old man has been previously convicted of molesting an 11-year-old girl. He was put in a cell with Paul Dixon, a 43-year-old convicted murderer.
At some point, a fight broke out between the two men. Dixon reportedly punched Ramariz in the face. He then grabbed the pedophile and stuck his head in the toilet until he drowned to death.
Dixon, who is in jail for a murder he committed at the age of 17, will now be facing an additional murder charge.
Ken Jefferson, crime and safety analyst for the local news station, stated, “When men go to jail accused, convicted of hurting a child, there is no peace in jail.”
He went on: “They have to constantly watch over their back. They have to hope they can befriend someone to look out for them. To protect them.”
Bad News for Epstein
Word of this will surely be made even more prominent due to the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Epstein, a longtime ally and contributor to Bill Clinton, was recently arrested for sexual misconduct charges related to underage girls.
Due to the prominent nature of this case, there is probably a mile-long line of prisoners hoping to get their hands on him to dish out some jailhouse justice.
