President Joe Biden has often and repeatedly been dishonest about his level of involvement in his son Hunter Biden's increasingly apparent and highly questionable foreign influence-peddling schemes, and it now appears that another one of the president's lies has been exposed and refuted.
House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) just released bank records that seemingly show the elder Biden receiving monthly payments from the younger Biden's business account that received funds from communist China and other foreign sources, according to the Daily Caller.
The revelation prompted at least one legal expert to suggest that there is now ample evidence to support the impeachment of President Biden and that Democrats must now decide whether to support the increasingly apparent corruption or take a stand on the side of nonpartisan truth and justice.
In a Monday press release, Chairman Comer shared redacted bank records obtained through a subpoena of Hunter Biden which showed that his "business entity, Owasco PC, made direct monthly payments to Joe Biden."
"Financial records obtained show Hunter Biden’s business account, Owasco PC, received payments from Chinese-state linked companies and other foreign nationals and companies," the release stated. "Payments to Joe Biden from Hunter’s Owasco PC corporate account are part of a pattern revealing Joe Biden knew about, participated in, and benefited from his family’s influence-peddling schemes."
In addition to the press release, Comer also posted a brief video on social media that outlined several of Joe Biden's lies about his son's dubious foreign business dealings that have been debunked and proven untrue, including that there was an "absolute wall" between his official conduct and Hunter's dealings, that Hunter never received money from China, that he'd never spoken to his son about business, and that he'd never received any of the proceeds from his son's deals.
"Today, the House Oversight Committee is releasing subpoenaed bank records that show Hunter Biden’s business entity, Owasco PC, made direct monthly payments to Joe Biden," Comer said in the video. "This wasn’t a payment from Hunter Biden’s personal account but an account for his corporation that received payments from China and other shady corners of the world."

The Daily Caller, in a separate report Monday, noted that liberal law professor Jonathan Turley told Fox News that an impeachment of President Biden was "overdue" and that there was now "ample evidence to justify an impeachment inquiry."
"I can’t imagine how anyone would look at this evidence and not believe that a formal inquiry should begin," he said. "There’s been a litany of lies that have come out of the Biden family and the White House. The president denied knowing about any of these business arrangements. Even Hunter said that wasn’t true."
Turley proceeded to list off several other refuted lies from Biden and his supporters, as well as key pieces of evidence released thus far that exposed the dishonesty, and observed, "We even have Joe Biden’s house being listed for some of these payments by Hunter Biden."
"It’s rather daunting to imagine what you need according to the Democrats. So I think the moment of truth has arrived," he added. "Democrats have either got to show that they stand against corruption and approve an inquiry or they have to take ownership of this. Influence-peddling is the favorite form of corruption in Washington but none of us have seen the likes of this."
The Daily Caller reported that the direct payment highlighted by Comer appears to have been a May 2018 reimbursement from Hunter to Joe for the auto insurance on the former's Ford Raptor truck that was under the latter's name.
Regardless of the end purpose of that particular payment, the records nonetheless revealed that direct payments were made between Hunter's foreign-funded business account -- which raked in millions from entities in China and elsewhere -- and Joe's personal bank account, meaning the president profited from his son's foreign business dealings despite the prior insistence to the contrary.
