Bill O’Reilly exposes how anonymous media sources really work

Former Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly recently offered some insight about the anonymous sources that keep leaking information.

After hearing yet more anonymous sources close to the White House leaking out information, O’Reilly speculated just who that source might be, writing on Twitter:

Journalism?

There was a time when journalists and their editors had to have a solid source before breaking a story.

When they did not have someone willing to officially go on the record, the information would have been verified several times over to ensure the journalist was in fact telling a truthful story.

These days, though, the game has changed.

Now, it seems as though every day, we see a story printed with an unnamed source that is giving up some deep, dark secret in the Trump White House.

Much as O’Reilly has alluded, that leaves an awful lot of questions as to whom is supplying the information.

Today, liberal journalists will take information from just about anyone if it means they can print a negative story about Trump.

Far Too Loose

Sadly, many of the stories we are seeing printed nowadays are simply not true.

Often, real sources come out and prove the anonymous source had no idea what he or she was talking about.

Then, of course, there is the other end of the spectrum.

It was recently revealed that both former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, two ex-top law enforcement officials, were leaking out classified information and misinformation the press.

Yet nothing is being done to them.

At this point, the only thing McCabe lost was his retirement income.

And Comey now has a book deal and is racking up appearance fees, when he should be behind bars.

O’Reilly’s point should be taken to heart. We simply can no longer trust the mainstream media to tell the truth — their sources could just be a pretzel salesman.
