Oprah Winfrey says a campaign against Trump would have killed her

Not long after Trump won the presidential election, rumors started to fly Oprah Winfrey would be run out there by Democrats come 2020.

Winfrey quickly put those rumors to rest, stating, “It’s not a clean business. It would kill me.”

Desperation

There is this magical “thing” called the “Oprah Effect.”

Whatever she touches turns into gold, both figuratively and literally.

Oprah mentions a book, it become a best-seller.

Oprah takes a stake in Weight Watchers, it goes from a $9 dog to a $100 “must-buy” stock within months.

Democrats were hoping she could apply that magical touch to their party during the 2020 presidential election.

After Trump took office, rumors immediately surfaced the Dems were going to run Oprah out there in the next election.

Unfortunately, the Dems forgot to ask Oprah about it first.

No Way

Within days of the rumors surfacing, Oprah took her name out of the hat and said she had no interest in running.

But, that was about all she had to say about it.

After her interview with Vogue, we now know why.

“In that political structure – all the non-truths, the bullshit, the crap, the nastiness, the backhanded backroom stuff that goes on – I feel like I could not exist.”

Sadly, Oprah had described our political machine to a tee.

Everything she described about our political system is exactly why Dems are so afraid of Trump.

He is exposing the fake news.

He is taking the deals right to the American people via social media rather than letting the press twist the facts.

It is hard to deny that Trump is changing the political landscape… and it terrifies the Democrats.
