Obama-era National Security adviser praises Trump’s Soleimani strike

At least one Democrat associated with former President Barack Obama believes Trump did the right thing in taking out Iranian terror chief Qassem Soleimani.

Former National Security Adviser Jim Jones flipped the Democrat narrative by confessing on Sunday: “I think what the administration did in the Soleimani case is absolutely correct.”

Shattering the Democrat narrative

From the moment it was made known that Gen. Soleimani had been killed, a shocking number of Democrats jumped aboard the pro-Iran, pro-Soleimani, and anti-American bandwagon.

Retired Marine General Jim Jones, who served as Obama’s National Security Adviser, is telling everyone to pump the brakes.

According to the Daily Wire, Jones stated that while Obama was in office, Osama bin Laden was, by far, the most-wanted terrorist in the world. After bin Laden was gone, however, the case could be made that Soleimani took over that title.

As such, the administration was 100%  justified in eliminating the threat he posed. Not only that, but Jones also stated: “I give [Trump] credit for doing that and I think it was the right thing to do and I think it’s, as articulated by the president, it’s a potential game-changer.”

Calling out the left

Not only did Jones support the move by Trump, but he also shredded Dems for not getting on board with the killing of a known terrorist.

He stated: “I would not listen to the appeasers of the world who kind of want to calm the waves and [who say] let’s get back to normal business and then you have Iran using its proxies to spread terror around the world, interdict shipping, shoot down drones, and things like that… Those days I think are over and I hope Iran understands that.”

This is a stark contrast to what we have seen other Obama officials say about the Soleimani strike. Most of them, including former Secretary of State John Kerry, have been adamantly opposed to Trump’s decision to kill Soleimani.

Democrats are trying to say that Trump’s actions will destabilize the Middle East, but now that tempers have settled down, it seems to have done the complete opposite, with some in the ranks of Iranian leadership asking for de-escalation and a possible meeting of the minds to work things out.

It is so refreshing to hear a former administration official put partisan politics aside to drop a truth bomb like this. Jones will surely pay for his comments, though, as there is no tolerance on the Democrat side for anyone who has anything good to say about Trump.
