New York Supreme Court reinstates workers fired for refusing Covid-19 vaccine

New York’s Supreme Court ruled that workers fired from their jobs for not receiving the Covid-19 vaccine are to be reinstated to their positions and receive back pay.

The decision finally brings justice to thousands of workers who had their lives ruined by power-hungry bureaucrats pushing an agenda. This decision is the first of many that are expected in the near future that will drop the legal hammer on those who pushed the Covid-19 vaccine at the cost of jobs and livelihoods.

The court ruled that the mandate “violated the petitioners’ equal protection rights as the mandate is arbitrary and capricious.”

Victory for Americans

The order took aim at former health commissioner of the city of New York, David Chokshi, who the court stated had overstepped his authority by creating new conditions of employment.

More importantly, the court knocked out the legal argument behind the Covid-19 vaccine mandate. The court stated that “Being vaccinated does not prevent an individual from contracting or transmitting Covid-19.”

That statement will likely be used as a precedent around the nation as Americans seek to hold those in power responsible for pushing vaccine mandates that destroyed thousands of lives.

While this is an important victory and the first major step towards restoring justice, this court order cannot entirely undo the damage that these vaccine mandates did.

New York’s vaccine mandate was put in place on Oct. 20, 2021, by health commissioner Chokshi. That mandate was extended to the private sector in December 2021, leading to over a thousand workers being terminated.

Nearly a year later, there is much to do to restore public trust and ensure such an abuse of power never happens again.

Democrats fuming

The U.S. Supreme Court has already blocked vaccine mandates by the Biden administration, and there are no signs of Covid-19 vaccine mandates getting any stronger in the eyes of the judicial system.

This is terrible news for Democrats who so eagerly ruined lives during the pandemic by forcing Americans to choose between their conscience and their livelihoods.

Many Americans haven’t forgotten the abuse of power perpetrated by Democrats, and the midterm elections are the first real opportunity that Americans will have to hold them accountable.
