The mystery of a missing senior citizen in Baltimore has come to a sad conclusion.
Johnnie Russell Gobeli, 94, was found dead in his garage.
Gobelli first went missing on July 11.
He had been seen hear his home around 9 a.m. that morning, but not since.
After being reported missing, local police conducted an extensive search.
Police were initially baffled, but he ended up literally being right under their noses.
As it turns out, Gobelli was found under his car in the garage on the second day of the search.
When police found him, he was unresponsive.
Gobelli was pronounced dead on the scene.
The initial reporting of his disappearance was a bit confusing.
Police were called to the home because Gobelli’s car was reportedly left running with groceries in it.
However, that report stated the car was in the driveway, not the garage.
It was not until the police came back for a second look that the car was apparently in the garage.
At this time, his death is not considered suspicious.
Currently, his death is listed as accidental.
The local medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
