Former First Lady Michelle Obama announced on Monday’s broadcast of CBS This Morning that anyone who wants to “hang out” with the Obamas must be vaccinated, according to Breitbart.
The former first lady commented on the issue during an interview with Gayle King covering issues ranging from food security, racism, and mental health. “It’d be better light if people would get vaccinated. The science behind a COVID-19 vaccine is the same science that’s behind aspirin and insulin,” Obama said. King responded, asking, “What are the COVID rules for visiting the Obamas?”
“Now it’s be vaccinated,” she replied. “You want to hang out with us? Get your vaccine. Get all of it. Finish it up. And then we can talk. So I urge everybody out there, within the sound of our voices, please, please get the vaccine. It’s time.”
It’s no surprise that Michelle Obama and the Obama family have wholly bought into the experimental vaccines that can only be distributed through an emergency use authorization.
People like the Obamas have taken the words of Dr. Fauci as gospel and are proselytizing their views to the entire nation. They are all in on vaccinations, and anyone who questions that must be some kind of extremist.
Obama appealed to authority by urging Americans to look to scientists and research for guidance on the issue while ignoring the completely mixed and sometimes false information Americans have received over the past year.
For example, it was recently revealed that the Center For Disease Control (CDC) was actually tailoring its policy on reopening schools according to criteria set by teachers’ unions.
If anything has been made clear about the scientific community over the past year, it’s that scientists aren’t immune to corruption or dishonesty. Unfortunately, politics has infected our response to coronavirus, and that means Americans must weigh everything carefully.
“Trust the science”
It may be simple for the Obama family, but for millions of Americans, they have to put their trust in politically motivated figures like Dr. Fauci.
The coronavirus crisis was a rude awakening for many Americans who suddenly discovered that we couldn’t trust our scientific community on something as non-partisan as a virus that has killed millions of people worldwide.
In the case that the world gets hit by an even deadlier pandemic, things will be much worse. There is no trust between Americans and the scientific community, which is critical to an effective pandemic response.
Instead of trashing Americans for their doubts, Michelle Obama should be calling on the scientific community to be transparent and return to true objectivity — no more input from special interests, no more social engineering.
