Leaders in Venezuela are doing their best to portray the United States as the aggressor in a situation that gets worse with each passing day.
Socialist Party Vice President Diosdado Cabello is even predicting that the United States Marines will be invading Venezuela any day now.
More Foreign Aggression
The United States already has its hands full with Iran, but now Venezuela is making a move that may stir up even more problems.
Last week, Venezuela shadowed a U.S. Navy plane “aggressively” while the plane was flying over international waters.
As Iran has been doing, Venezuela claimed the U.S. plane violated its airspace — so either both countries are lying, or we have completely inept pilots.
Most would agree it is more likely the former than the latter.
Stirring Up Problems
Cabello is doing everything he can to create a beehive for Trump in this part of the world.
“We are few, a small country, we are very humble, and here it is likely that the U.S. Marines enter. It is likely that they enter,” he said. “Their problem will be getting out of Venezuela.”
The prediction from Cabello is completely unfounded and did not even warrant a response from the U.S. State Department.
Cabello, it should be noted, it loyal to President Nicolas Maduro.
Maduro is president in name only at this point, as most have recognized opposition leader Juan Guaido as the true leader of the country.
Negotiations have been ongoing for months to get Maduro to step down, but he is refusing to give up his seat.
