An E! reality star was found dead this week in some rather disturbing circumstances.
Lyric McHenry, who appeared on the E! show EJNYC, was found unresponsive on a Bronx sidewalk in New York at around 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
On the surface, McHenry seemed to have everything to live for.
Underneath, though, it appears the young lady was fighting off some serious demons.
When McHenry was found, she was passed out, wearing nothing but her underwear and a pajama top.
She was then transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
One report also stated authorities found drugs in her possession.
That is particularly disturbing because the 26-year-old was 20 weeks pregnant.
McHenry’s past had everyone thinking her potential was limitless.
Having graduated from Stanford University, she was clearly a woman with a bright future ahead of her.
At one point, she reportedly worked for the Obama administration as a fundraising intern.
In 2016, McHenry found her way to fame in the EJ Johnson (son of former NBA star Magic Johnson) E! show, EJNYC.
The reality show followed around Johnson, who is openly gay, in his adventures around New York City.
The show only lasted one season, but McHenry apparently made her first impression a good one within the industry.
She most recently had dedicated her efforts to opening up a dialogue about race and social awareness with a YouTube-based Refinery29 project that she both produced and starred in.
The Head of Video Development for the project, Jon Bulette, said of McHenry: “She was an excellent communicator and I couldn’t wait to see where her talent and creativity would take her.”
Now, sadly, we will never know.
