Liz Cheney shares article claiming criminal prosecution of Trump inevitable after Hutchinson testimony

Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) seems to believe that a criminal prosecution of former President Trump is imminent, if her Twitter is anything to go by.

On Tuesday, she shared an article written by David French for The Dispatch that argued that the testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to Mark Meadows, had made criminal prosecution a slam dunk.

Cheney is a key member of the Jan. 6th Committee and has in many ways been the face of the movement to attempt to criminally implicate Donald Trump for allegedly inciting a riot on January 6th, 2021.

Trump Derangement Syndrome

In the article, French broke down Hutchinson’s testimony and gleefully claimed, “After Cassidy Hutchinson’s courageous testimony, the case for prosecuting Trump is stronger than it’s ever been before.”

Cheney appears to agree, hence, her decision to share the article on her Twitter page to her nearly 400,000 followers.

There’s just one problem, the Hutchinson testimony appears to be misinformation bordering on perjury.

Hutchinson’s explosive allegations that former President Donald Trump tried to take control of the presidential limo, aka “The Beast,” during the January 6th protests seemingly breathed life into the witch-hunt against Trump.

Democrats have been desperate for something real and they believed they had found it when Hutchinson testified that Trump was fighting Secret Service agents in an effort to get to the Capitol.

However, not even a day later, the Secret Service is now saying that the agents that were allegedly attacked are willing to testify against Hutchinson’s claims.

House of cards crashing down

Cheney and her Democrat cohorts were ecstatic and believed they had something real, but in the space of a few hours, it all came crashing down.

A source close to the Secret Service claimed that Bobby Engel, who was the head of Trump’s Secret Service detail, along with another unnamed agent, will likely testify before the January 6th Committee to refute Hutchinson’s explosive allegations.

Cheney has it all wrong; the only person in danger of facing criminal prosecution is Cassidy Hutchinson for lying to Congress. As for Trump, his enemies look like desperate fools yet again.
