Columnist David Limbaugh: If Democrats keep putting up far-left candidates, say goodbye to their House majority

A conservative columnist just sent a rather interesting challenge to Democrats.

After seeing the antics of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, columnist David Limbaugh warned the stunt to elect far-left extremists to office could very well backfire on Democrats in the 2020 elections.

Give Them an Inch…

The concern by Limbaugh was related specifically to an organization that backed Ocasio-Cortez, the Justice Democrats, during the election.

Along with Ocasio-Cortez, the organization recently held a demonstration over climate change.

Nancy Pelosi actually endorsed the protests by the group.

Additionally, she called for the reinstatement of a committee to “address the climate crisis.”

Pelosi further stated: “We welcome the presence of these activists, and we strongly urge the Capitol Police to allow them to continue to organize and participate in our democracy.”

One would think they would have been happy with Pelosi for her measures, but that was not the case.

The group issued a response not long after Pelosi made her statement:

Our response: Not good enough.

Pelosi is reinstating a 2007 committee tasked with investigating the harms of climate change.

We don’t need more investigation.

We need specific plans matching the urgency and scale mandated by the UN’s IPCC report on catastrophic climate change.

Energizing Republicans

Limbaugh quickly made the point that this type of behavior is the same thing that got Republicans off the couch and energized to vote in 2016.

Based on the midterm election results, we know Republicans are not disengaged from the process.

An election that is usually a complete disaster for the sitting party was nothing more than a shot across the bow.

If Democrats continue to run out people like Ocasio-Cortez, who has already been caught flat-out lying, they are going to have a massive fight on their hands come election day 2020 — one they are likely to lose.
