Once again, the liberal horde has put our distinguished first lady in their sights.
After winning the “Woman of Distinction” Award from Palm Beach Atlantic University, liberals attacked Melania Trump, some with profanity-laced tirades on Twitter, according to the Washington Examiner.
On the attack
Melania Trump launched her “Be Best” program very early on in Donald Trump’s first term as president. Part of that program is to combat online bullying, especially of our children.
Unfortunately, Melania is often judged by the actions of her husband, who happens to be Donald Trump, one of the most notorious tweeters in our country.
Trump, as well all know, likes to use off-color “comedy” in his comments, which many perceive to be bullying. This is something that haunts her regularly, especially when she is recognized for her “Be Best” efforts.
After Melania received the award, Twitter was packed with people that could not call her out fast enough.
Hey @Flotus… the hubby’s making fun of people’s physical appearances again. Just more bullying from the Bully-in-Chief…who you’re married to and whose bullying you condone. You’re complicit. So your #BeBest campaign is just bullshit… #Melania #Trump https://t.co/mtjx20nLzx

Statement from @FLOTUS this morning, via White House pool report: “I am convinced now more than ever that teaching healthy online behavior is crucial to securing a safer future for our children.” https://t.co/1wAQeqX4XU

In defense of our first lady, she should be judged on her actions and the results of her actions — not what the president says about Mike Bloomberg, for instance. There is simply no debating the fact she has helped thousands of children with her program and that is what people should be concentrating on.
Thankfully, the co-chair of the event did stick up for our first lady.
“Our first lady is an exquisite human being, a magnificent wife and life partner, a superb mother, and an outstanding first lady, who represents us brilliantly in the United States and worldwide,” Eileen Burns stated. “Melania is a perfect example of a Woman of Distinction, and we are most proud to honor her.”
As are we. Congratulations, Melania Trump. This is a well-deserved award, and we look forward to seeing you fulfill your duties as first lady for another five years!
