Liberal news outlets exploded this week over actions by border state governors to send busloads of illegal immigrants to New York and Washington, D.C., both of which claim to be sanctuary cities.
NPR and the New York Times ranted and raved against Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey (R) for sending some of the thousands of illegal immigrants streaming into their border towns to places that have long claimed to welcome illegal immigrants with open arms–but actually don’t.

NPR railed against the border governors for not having a plan after the bussing while giving the Biden administration a complete pass on creating the problem in the first place by foolishly reversing every single one of former President Donald Trump’s policies that the courts didn’t prevent them from reversing.
The Times accused Abbott and Ducey of “causing chaos” by shipping just a few of their migrants to New York and D.C., while they are expected to deal with much bigger numbers in their states without complaint. They also claimed the GOP governors were using migrants as a “political tool.”
The Washington Post chimed in, “Mr. Abbott and Mr. Ducey hope to cause trouble, to make it seem as though migrants inevitably lead to chaos and thus compel the federal government to pass more draconian border policies.”
Indeed, the migrants seem to be causing chaos in these sanctuary cities. D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser bitterly complained about receiving 4,000 migrants in her city even though Texas can get that many in a single day at times.
She even called for the National Guard to be deployed, which made migrant advocates mad at her.
“The last thing we want is a militarized response to a humanitarian crisis,” core organizer with the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network Andrea Scherff said.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a briefing that bussing immigrants to so-called “sanctuary cities” is disrupting the “process in place for managing migrants at the border,” but if there was a process that worked, border state governors wouldn’t look to bus immigrants out of the area to get relief, would they?
The fact is, Biden has no plan except open borders, which will continue to cause problems for someone, somewhere until his policies change or are changed for him.
Might as well cause problems for the Democrat politicians in supposed solidarity with Biden’s policies and let them feel the consequences of Biden’s actions.
