Nixon White House counsel John Dean says Kushner, Trump, Jr. could be next Mueller indictments

A former staffer for President Richard Nixon says special counsel Robert Mueller may be about to drop a bomb that will rock the Trump family.

John Dean, who served as White House counsel during the Nixon administration, said both Donald Trump, Jr. and Jared Kushner could be indicted by Mueller.

Likely indictment for Trump Jr.

Dean, a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, says that the president’s oldest son could be the next big name that comes out of the Mueller investigation.

“He’s probably been told by the prosecutors that he’s a target. That means that there’s — unless you’re going to cooperate, there’s going to be an indictment very likely following,” Dean said Wednesday on CNN.

“He’s not been called in front of a grand jury,” Dean continued. “That’s another sign that he’s being treated at arm’s length. So he’s got jeopardy.”

If Trump, Jr. does not agree to cooperate, which we know he won’t, he will more than likely face an indictment.

During a recent interview, Fox News contributor Judge Andrew Napolitano also said he expected Trump, Jr. to be indicted.

Napolitano stated, “I don’t know who, but I do know that Donald Jr. has told friends he expects to be indicted.”

When asked directly if he thought Donald Jr. would, in fact, be indicted, Napolitano stated, “Yes.”

Kushner’s “got problems”

Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, may also find himself on the indictment list. “Kushner, I will be surprised if he’s not indicted. I think he’s got problems,” Dean said, referring to Kushner’s foreign contacts during the presidential transition period.

How Did This Happen?

Most of this speculation is stemming from how Trump, Jr. testified in front of the intelligence committees last October about the 2016 Trump Tower meeting.

This is the same basis on which Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn was charged. Flynn pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI last year.

The fact that Mueller recommended a lenient sentence for Flynn has many of the pundits, including Dean, believing information Flynn provided is going be at the root of the indictment for Trump Jr. as well as Kushner.

If this report comes to fruition, it could put the Trump administration in dire straits.

There is quite a bit of speculation on the part of the media and Democrats as to what lengths the president will go to protect his family.

Is this all just a way to get Trump to step down or are these indictments actually legitimate?

If they do happen, will Trump, Jr. actually find himself facing the threat of prison?

We should soon have all of these answers, as Mueller’s report is expected to be released within the next couple of months.
