Twice-deported illegal immigrant kills teen, grandmother in drunk driving incident: Report

An illegal immigrant who was deported from the U.S. twice has been accused of killing a teen and his grandmother and injuring two other relatives of theirs in a drunk driving incident, according to a North Carolina ABC affiliate.

Thirty-five-year-old Felix Antonio Juarez-Antunez killed 15-year-old Ethan Handley and 65-year-old Marjory Howell Wagner in North Carolina. He was allegedly driving 90 mph in a 45 mph zone.

“I knew instantly that my grandma had died because I was in the passengers’ seat and she was all leaned back in her chair and I reached over to touch her stomach,” one of the surviving passengers told ABC 11.

“She was everybody’s grandma,” he added. “She’s just always there for you.”

Dangerous actions

Juarez-Antunez has been charged with felony death by motor vehicle and felony serious injury by vehicle for his actions in causing the crash. He has also been charged with felony re-entering for coming back to the U.S. illegally after being deported and was placed on an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) detainer.

If he were to be released from prison, Juarez-Antunez would be arrested by ICE and deported yet again.

Democrats apparently think it’s fine for illegal immigrants like Juarez-Antunez to enter the country illegally and cause deaths and injuries. They have done everything they can to prevent ICE from detaining illegal immigrants, even those who are in jail for committing other crimes.

They would like you to forget that all illegal immigrants are criminals because they have entered the U.S. in violation of the nation’s laws. In addition, DACA-age illegal immigrants are more likely to be incarcerated than the general population, according to the Washington Examiner.

Dangerous policies

Worse still are sanctuary cities, which are hiding illegals from police even when they have committed crimes. While Juarez-Antunez was caught and will be deported if released from jail, in many other cities and states, police would never be notified about someone who has committed crimes and should not be in the U.S.

For his part, President Donald Trump has been fighting sanctuary cities and trying to end their illegal practices. He doesn’t want to see these criminals being protected and remaining in the country to potentially commit more crimes.

It’s time to get serious about illegal immigration and protect innocent people like the Wagner family from being injured or killed.

There really shouldn’t be a question about whether we enforce our own immigration laws.
