Report: Hunter Biden requested keys for ‘new office mates’ including Joe Biden in 2017 emails

Emails obtained by Fox News cast more doubts on Joe Biden’s campaign trail claim of having no knowledge or involvement in his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings.

In the 2017 email, first reported by the Daily Caller, Biden’s son Hunter Biden requests keys for an office space rental that included “new office mates” Joe Biden, Jill Biden, his uncle Jim Biden, and Gongwen Dong, described by Biden as an “emissary” for Chairman Ye Jianming — the chairman of CEFC Chinese Energy Co.

The email gave contact information for all of the to-be keyholders and referred to Ye as Hunter’s “partner.” It was addressed to Cecilia Browning at the House of Sweden — a building in Washington, D.C., that houses multiple office suites along with several embassies.

The email also asked for the sign on the office doors to read “The Biden Foundation” and “Hudson West (CEFC US).” The lease would be under Hunter Biden’s company, Rosemont Seneca, he said.

Confirmation of rental

Records from House of Sweden show that Rosemont Seneca did rent space there from February 2017 to February 2018.

The email also fits in with another email found on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop that spoke of a business deal with a Chinese energy company.

That arrangement discussed an equity stake for both Hunter Biden and the “big guy,” whom Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski identified as Joe Biden. Other emails detail a meeting between Ye and Joe Biden.

Fox News notes that the deal never went through, however. Senate Homeland Security and Finance committees also investigated the deal and found that while it didn’t go through, a joint bank account with Dong was set up with $100,000 and the money was spent by Jim Biden and his wife Sara.

Hunter Biden under investigation

The news comes as Hunter Biden revealed last week that he is under investigation by the FBI and IRS for tax fraud and possible money laundering.

Fox News reported that a “well-placed” source within the government said Hunter was a subject or target of a grand jury investigation, but that Joe Biden is not a subject or target at this time.

Sources also said that Hunter Biden was the source of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARS) related to financial transactions involving China and other foreign countries.

As part of the investigation, authorities are looking at Hunter Biden’s laptop, sources told Fox News. Interestingly, while the investigation started in 2018, it was not reported until after the election.
