In the wake of the release of the final report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller that found no evidence of collusion by the Trump campaign with Russia, nor evidence of obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump, there has been a chorus of calls for a “reckoning” for all those elected Democrat officials and media figures who perpetuated the Russian collusion lie for the past two-plus years.
One of those demanding accountability and justice for the lies is White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, who called for the resignation of the Democrat chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, California Rep. Adam Schiff.
Schiff “let the lie fly”
Conway appeared on Fox & Friends Monday morning to speak on the findings of the Mueller investigation, and aside from noting the total and complete vindication of the president and those who have supported him, she engaged in a justified and righteous ten-minute rant against those who had pushed the false narrative of Russian collusion since before the president had even taken office.
Calling out those who had “let the lie fly” and had continuously been “haranguing and harassing and trying to embarrass” those connected to Trump, Conway said they owed both the president and the American people an apology.
Though several names were mentioned, Conway took particular exception to Schiff, who had been at the forefront of the Democrat politicians that had repeatedly and fervently insinuated for more than two years that there was ample evidence supporting the charge of collusion, conspiracy and coordination with Russia by the Trump campaign, of which she had served as campaign manager in the final months of the election.
With regard to Schiff, Conway said, “He ought to resign today. He’s been on every TV show, 50 times a day, for practically the last two years, promising Americans that this president would either be impeached or indicted.” Watch below:
Time for a reckoning
A few moments later, Conway reiterated, “Adam Schiff should resign. He has no right as somebody who has been peddling the lie, day after day after day — unchallenged — unchallenged and not under oath.”
“Somebody should have put him under oath and said, ‘You have evidence? Where is it?'” she continued.
“Bob Mueller already ran the fair and full investigation, and any partisan, politicized investigation from here on in will never have the credibility of the Mueller investigation and the credibility of Attorney General Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, what they’ve done here,” she added.
The conversation then shifted to whether there should be an investigation of the investigators who had pushed the false narrative, and Conway let it rip on how she viewed those people as she called for full transparency of all the communications and “all the snark and bark from the elitist intellectual snobs” who had derided and disparaged Trump, his associates and his supporters.
Kellyanne Conway has every right to be outraged at those who were behind the two years of nonsense perpetuated by the likes of Schiff and his anti-Trump leftist comrades, and she is 100 percent correct that he should resign in shame for his role in the now fully debunked lunacy that was the Russia collusion narrative.
