Commentator Keith Olbermann exemplifies the Trump Derangement Syndrome that has taken over the left.
In a YouTube video released Thursday, Olbermann went on an unhinged rant, calling for President Donald Trump, his allies, supporters, and even public figures like Judge Amy Coney Barrett to be “prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society” after Trump is ousted from office.
“The terrorist Trump must be defeated, must be destroyed, must be devoured at the ballot box and then he and his enablers and his supporters and his collaborators and the Mike Lees and the William Barrs and the Sean Hannitys and the Mike Pences and the Rudy Giulianis and the Kyle Rittenhouses and the Amy Coney Barretts must be prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society while we try and rebuild it,” Olbermann ranted.
Amy Coney Barrett is a federal judge who has been nominated by Trump to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Watch the clip below, shared to Twitter by the Daily Caller:

What exactly he means by “removed from our society” wasn’t clear.
Leftists like Olbermann apparently hope that President Trump and anyone associated with him will be treated as criminals once Democrats seize power, not unlike how communist governments treated dissidents.
This is a classic example of dehumanizing one’s political opponents and while many won’t come out and say what Olbermann said, they won’t condemn his rhetoric either.
Olbermann exemplifies why the left shouldn’t be in power. They don’t just disagree with their opponents — they hate them and want to see them purged from society.
Olbermann’s Trump obsession
Of course, this kind of rhetoric isn’t entirely unexpected, coming from Olbermann. He has a long history of controversial and polarizing commentary, including during his time as a host on MSNBC from 2003 to 2011, where he bashed President George Bush as a “fascist.” New York magazine described him as the “Limbaugh for Lefties,” and also interestingly noted that he “doesn’t vote.”
The former sports commentator is a long-time foe of Trump, and even published a book in 2017 titled, “Trump is F*–ing Crazy: (This is Not a Joke).” In 2016, he created an online series for GQ titled, “The Resistance With Keith Olbermann,” in which, according to a New York Times reporter, “his efforts to chase down Trumpian conspiracies can strain credibility.” In that same year, facing a potential Trump election win, Olbermann went racist by declaring that “the angry white male Trump voter would rather burn [the country] down than accept Hillary Clinton.”
Olbermann’s latest gig after leaving ESPN, where he was apparently not allowed to talk politics, is a new daily YouTube series on — you guessed it — Trump and the 2020 election. He released the first anti-Trump screed, titled, “Trump Is A Mass Murderer,” in the series on Wednesday.
