A new report from Fox News reveals that a pro-choice group “hinted at” targeting U.S. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, her children, and her church.
The far-left, pro-choice group is called Ruth Sent Us. And, being a pro-choice group, their problem with Barrett is presumably Barrett’s supposed opposition to abortion.
This all follows the leak of the U.S. Supreme Court’s draft decision in the case regarding Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban. That draft, which was written by Justice Samuel Alito, shows the justices overturning Roe v. Wade, the landmark case that establishes the so-called right to have an abortion.
The court has yet to release its final decision in the case. But, the widespread belief is that the court will overturn Roe and that Barrett will be among those who sign on to the decision. This is why Ruth Sent Us targeted Barrett.
The disturbing details
Ruth Sent Us targeted Barrett using Twitter, calling for people to join their “protests.”
“If you’re in the DC metro area, join us,” the group wrote. “Our protests at Barrett’s home moved the needle to this coverage.”
“Protesting” the home of a Supreme Court justice is already questionable enough, but Ruth Sent Us also appeared to call for “protestors” to target Barrett’s church and the school that her children attend. Ruth Sent Us even provided details about the schedule of Barrett’s family.
“Falls Church is a People of Praise stronghold,” the group wrote. “She sends her seven kids to a People of Praise school that she sat on the Board of Directors for. She attends church DAILY.”
Context
What’s more, is that Ruth Sent Us posted that tweet on the morning of June 8.
This was the same morning that an armed man, subsequently identified as Nicholas John Roske, was arrested in the vicinity of Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s house. It was later revealed that Roske had the intention of killing Kavanaugh.
The tweet from Ruth Sent Us came after Roske’s arrest, but before the arrest was reported.
Either way, this has to stop. Leaders around the country need to make it clear that this kind of behavior is not acceptable, and Democrats, in particular, have been failing in this regard.
