Jury convicts Bill Cosby of sexual assault

One of the most notorious celebrity sexual abusers has finally been brought to justice.

On Thursday, after 14 hours of deliberating, a jury found Bill Cosby guilty of sexual assault against Andrea Constand.

The Case

For decades, Bill Cosby has allegedly assaulted women sexually.

In all, roughly five dozen women have come forward to make allegations against the comedian.

Unfortunately, most of the allegations were made long after the actual assault, so they were not prosecutable.

And while Mr. Cosby has gotten away with allegedly assaulting those women, there was one case that he was unable to dodge.

Ms. Constand alleged Cosby gave her several pills and some alcohol, which made her pass out.

When she awoke, she said Cosby was sexually assaulting her.

Cosby, of course, insists the sex, drugs, and booze were all consensual.

Yet, he still settled a case with for more than $3 million with Constand.

No doubt, Cosby thought she would just go away after getting that big check, but that is not what happened.

When the verdict was read, several women that alleged they had been assaulted by Cosby applauded.

An attorney that had represented some of Cosby’s accusers stated, “Justice has been done!”

Cosby was reportedly furious at the verdict.

When DA Kevin Steele complained the bail set for Cosby was not high enough, Cosby shouted, “I’m sick of him!”

Cosby’s attorney was asked if they would be appealing the case, and Tom Mesereau stated, “Yes, very strongly.”

Bill Cosby is now looking at a possible 30 years behind bars and a $75,000 fine.

Even if the judge offers gives him some leniency due to his age, it is very likely Cosby will die in prison.
