Who says divorces can’t be pleasant?
Donald Trump, Jr. and his soon to be ex-wife, Vanessa, were actually praised by the judge presiding over their divorce case for sparing the children from the “invasive legal process.”
While most divorces are bloodier than a heavyweight fight, Don Jr. and Vanessa appear to have worked most of the details out on their own.
The two arrived at the courthouse on Thursday morning together, actually appearing to be chatting as they entered the building.
The couple decided early on to spare the children from the ugliness of a divorce.
As soon as their divorce was announced, the couple issued a joint statement on the matter, remarking that they will “always have tremendous respect for each other.”
“We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority,” their statement continued.
That sentiment was not lost with Judge Michael Katz, who stated: “I very much would like to commend both of you for working out whatever differences you may have had regarding those issues and continuing to co-parent with each other.”
He added: “You have prioritized your children and taken steps to shield them from what could have been an invasive litigation process.”
The judge was not the only one singing the praises of the couple.
Don Jr.’s attorney said the two have basically hammered out the divorce on their own, and everything should be finalized within the next couple of weeks.
This easily could have gotten very ugly if Vanessa wanted to make things difficult for Trump, as her soon-to-be ex has already moved on.
In recent weeks, his much-rumored relationship with former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle has been burning up tabloid headlines.
Clearly, though, the couple is indeed putting the children first and handling this divorce with nothing but class.
And we wouldn’t expect any less.
