Fox News host Jeanine Pirro just delivered a strong message to Americans worried about their safety amid recent spikes in crime across the country.
On Saturday’s episode of her self-titled Fox program, Judge Jeanine called on voters to force politicians who aren’t taking a tough enough stance on crime out of office.
“You are no longer safe in America,” Pirro said, according to Fox. “Your government is not protecting you. The police cannot protect you. In short, you’re on your own.
“Something has radically changed in America,” she added. “Crime is coming out of nowhere and is hitting like a thunderbolt.”
“It doesn’t take a genius”
Pirro had as a guest on her program Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan, who pinned the blame on Democrats’ progressive policies for the crime spikes.
“It doesn’t take a genius to figure this out,” he said, according to Fox. “When you get rid of bail, you shouldn’t be surprised when you get more crime. When you defund the police, you shouldn’t be surprised when you get more crime.”
Jordan went on:
When Democrats spent an entire summer calling rioters and looters “peaceful protesters,” you shouldn’t be surprised when you get more crime. And when Democrats, those same peaceful protesters, raise money to bail them out of jail, you shouldn’t be surprised when you get more crime.
Jordan went on to add that “the Democrats have legitimized crime now,” and in his opinion, this has all been “intentional.”
“There’s only one way to end this”
Before Pirro had Jordan on, she gave her own solution to the problem.
“There’s only one way to end this, and it is to get involved in every local race from town council, city council, county legislature to judge, DA, school board, sheriff, and every other state office where you live,” Pirro said, according to Fox.
“We need to recall those in office who are failing us in the oath that they took to protect the citizens and the Constitution. We’ve got to be vocal,” she added. She went on:
We must peacefully protest decisions made that we do not agree with. It is time for us to be visible and vocal, to peaceably assemble, to let the world and the rest of them know that we are not sitting ducks waiting to be assaulted, that we have a strength and a determination to get this country back on track, and that means holding those in power accountable and jailing — yes, I said, locking up — those who are victimizing innocent human beings. They should not be roaming freely among us.
You wouldn’t think that would be a controversial statement. But with Democrats, should we really expect any less?
