Judge Jeanine Pirro calls for US military to stop migrant caravan from Central America

In the most recent of her blistering “Opening Statements” on her self-titled Fox show, Judge Jeanine Pirro urged the president to deploy the military to stop the caravan of more than 5,000 Central American migrants that is heading for the United States’ southern border from entering the country.

“The military needs to be deployed our southern border immediately to stop the caravan of thousands of illegals pouring into our nation,” Pirro said on Justice with Judge Jeanine on Saturday.

Judge Jeanine urges military action on caravan

President Donald Trump warned on Thursday that he would close the southern border using the military if Mexico did not stop the caravan from advancing. The caravan reached Mexico over the weekend, swelling to over 5,000 from an initial count of 2,000 migrants.

“Right now is a very dangerous time for Americans. Border control is essential to your safety and the safety of your family. The military, the National Guard, ICE, Border Patrol and DHS needs to block this caravan from entering our nation,” Pirro said, echoing Trump’s warning.

Pirro went on to slam the “entitlement” of immigrants who enter the United States illegally to take advantage of its prosperity, adding that immigrants should be rigorously screened to allow only those who will contribute to American society and pledge their loyalty to America over their country of origin.

“I, for one, am sick and tired of the sense of entitlement that illegals have to enter this country then immediately claim their constitutional rights as they carry the flags, not of America, but the flags of their country,” she said. She added that border enforcement is a matter of security, not a “left or right” issue.

“They are not entitled to be here,” she added. “They break our laws to come here. This is not a left or right issue — this is a security issue. A safety issue. We simply cannot have people about whom we know nothing living next door to us, working next to us or driving next to us.”

Hits “open borders” Democrats

Echoing Trump’s campaign messaging on immigration, Pirro went on to pummel the Democrats for encouraging open borders to draw in a “mob” of illegal immigrants for the sake of votes with promises of hand-outs. Trump blamed the Democrats at rallies and on Twitter last week and through the weekend for obstructing his efforts to secure the border, calling the caravan a “disgrace” to their party.

Pirro added that migrants fleeing poverty could seek refuge in countries like Mexico, but choose to come to America instead “because no one has told them they can’t,” warning that there will be “rogue cities” rife with crime and violence all over the country if the Democrats succeed in implementing their agenda. She also called for cuts to foreign aid to Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala.

“I am sick and tired of people telling us to have a heart,” she said. “We have a heart. We are the most generous country in the world.”

On Monday, President Trump said that cuts were imminent because the trio of countries did not act to stop the caravan.

Pirro signed off her Saturday “Opening Statement “with a stern warning.

“When you cross the border into these United States illegally, expect to be arrested,” she said. “You do not have the right to come here. We did not invite you here. You cannot stay here. And on your way out, you can tell the Democrats, George Soros, and the angry mob that’s coming here [that] you either come the right way like everyone else or be ready to face the military and a one-way ticket back to where you came from.”
