Conspiracy theorists may have caused the absence of Judge Jeanine Pirro from a recent experience.
After a left-oriented publication accused Fox News of unofficially partnering with Bill O’Reilly, Pirro did not show up for her announced appearance on O’Reilly’s new digital show.
Last year, Bill O’Reilly was caught up in the sexual harassment charges flying around the Fox News headquarters.
In a matter of days, O’Reilly went from a prime-time slot on the highest rated of all the cable news networks to being out of work.
After Fox News cast him aside, O’Reilly launched his own show via his self-named website.
To no one’s surprise, O’Reilly has tapped some of his former colleagues for his new show, something that had not gone unnoticed by critics of Fox News.
Media Matters for America, after seeing Pirro slated to appear, ripped the network for continuing to work with O’Reilly.
Then, on Tuesday, Pirro was a no-show on O’Reilly’s show.
In addition, the scheduled appearance of Judge Napolitano seemed in jeopardy.
After the Tuesday night show wrapped up, O’Reilly was no longer touting the Judge as a future guest.
Optics are Everything
Be they right or wrong, optics are a big deal in this business.
It would not really be a surprise to see Fox News drop the hammer on its hosts to forbid them to appear with O’Reilly.
But that is how things work these days.
When the left whines and throws a fit, the right does what it has to do to pacify them.
When the situation is reversed, however, the left just gets loud, makes some threats, and does whatever they want to do without any repercussions whatsoever.
