Republicans have alleged that some shady figures were behind the origins of the 22-month investigation into alleged collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign team and Russia — and according to Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro, it’s time for them to pay up.
Pirro said on Saturday there’s no denying that there is a “Deep State” — a term made popular by Sean Hannity to describe the group of high-ranking government individuals believed to be behind an attempted take-down of President Trump — and it’s time for the members of that group to be held accountable for their roles in starting what President Donald Trump has called a “witch hunt.”
“They’re not going quietly into the night. ‘Twill be a joy to watch,” Pirro said on Saturday’s episode of her self-titled Fox News program. “Grab your popcorn, Junior Mints, or whatever makes you happy. The real show is about to begin.”
She went on to explain that the truth has been exposed: “‘There is no more denying the existence of a Deep State.”
Who makes up this “Deep State,” you ask? According to Attorney General William Barr, many of them are no longer with the FBI.
Among them are former FBI Directors James Comey and Andrew McCabe, both of whom Pirro referred to as scapegoating “leakers.”
“I told you more than a year ago, former FBI Director James Comey was the head of his own crime family,” she said. “He ran the upper echelon of the FBI like an organized criminal enterprise.”
Pirro went on to name other members of that “crime family,” including texting-lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, Attorney James Baker, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and more — all of whom played a role in furthering the Trump-Russia investigation.
No more hiding
Accordingly, Pirro claimed that the “Deep State” is no longer a conspiracy theory.
“The amazing part of all this is that there is no more denying the existence of a Deep State,” she said. “All [of these people] compromised their political agenda to destroy Donald Trump.”
She went on: “They were selling our democracy down the river.”
And now it’s time for them to be held accountable for it.
