Weighing in on the case of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, Fox News’ Judge Jeanine Pirro condemned it as an “absurdity.”
Flynn, a retired U.S. Army General, was set up by the FBI and is in the process of getting the charges against him dismissed. But the presiding judge in the case, Judge Emmet Sullivan, is overstepping his authority by refusing to dismiss the charges — even though the Department of Justice has moved to drop their case.
“Imagine if you’re just a viewer and you’re suing your contractor and you have already agreed on something and the judge has said, ‘Well that’s not enough.’ And you say to the judge, ‘Look, we don’t want to go forward anymore’ and the judge says, ‘Well, I want to know why?’ That’s none of your business, judge, the parties don’t care.” Pirro said Friday on “Fox & Friends.”
“The absurdity of this is the fact that the judge, in this case, Emmet Sullivan, envisions himself as someone who is beyond the Constitution,” Pirro continued.
Judge Sullivan has so far resisted orders from the Department of Justice to dismiss the case after the new evidence exonerating Flynn was uncovered.
Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell commented on the situation saying, “The Department of Justice is the only entity that can decide to pursue this prosecution. The government has quit and it’s time to leave the field.”
At this point, it has now become fair to wonder if Judge Sullivan has some kind of personal vendetta against Flynn. Flynn is in this position because of a politically motivated FBI agent.
Justice for Flynn
Then-FBI agent Peter Strzok — the same Strzok of the infamous anti-Trump texts — purposely intervened to keep the case against Flynn open.
Strzok himself was responsible for the framing of Flynn and baiting him into the procedural crimes that he is facing charges for. It could be time to investigate if Judge Sullivan is acting in a similar manner.
Flynn so far has been a loyal ally to President Trump and is, therefore, a target of the swamp in the nation’s capital. It may be time for the president to intervene and get to the bottom of this problem.
The case of Michael Flynn is especially important because it exposed the power that the FBI has to frame any American for a simple process crime. How many other Americans have been quietly railroaded and convicted?
Judge Pirro is right to call the whole affair absurd, but for regular Americans, this goes beyond absurdity. Americans should be terrified if no changes come from the Flynn case. President Trump needs to take action and show Americans that the FBI will be held accountable and that Flynn will be freed.
