Juan Williams’ ‘Zionist’ comments create calls for ‘corrective action’

Conservatives are furious Fox News is refusing to even consider disciplining Juan Williams after his hateful comments last week.

Elad Hakim, a journalist for The Epoch Times, wants the network to take ‘corrective action’ against Williams, and he is not alone.

Creating a Firestorm

Juan Williams is a panel member on “The Five.” The show is a mixed panel debate show that discusses the hot political topics of the day.

Last week, the panel discussed criticism of Rep. Tlaib (D-Mich) for her controversial comments about the Holocaust.

Williams, of course, defended Tlaib and actually put the onus of the problem on pro-Jewish speakers.

He stated, “You want to put it in a box and say, ‘Oh, everybody is this way or that way.’

“And you are with the Zionists and the Zionists… (he was interrupted briefly before continuing) I’m trying to say, you can’t trust the Zionists to go after Tlaib.”

Precedent Has Been Set

As Hakim points out in his column, Fox News has set the precedent of disciplining its hosts over controversial comments.

We’re only a few weeks away from Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show being suspended for merely questioning the loyalty of Rep. Omar (D-Minn) to America.

Pirro was off the air for two weeks. As it turned out, Pirro’s comments were dead on about Omar. Rep. Omar was censured by House leadership for some of her comments.

Additionally, Jewish members of both the House and Senate have expressed their displeasure with Omar.

If Fox disciplined Pirro, how can they not discipline Williams for his anti-Semitic comments? Fox News must take action against Williams and it must be done immediately.
