Famous podcaster Joe Rogan dropped a bombshell during a recent show regarding what he thinks could hypothetically happen in the 2024 election, assuming President Joe Biden is a one-term president.
According to the Daily Mail, Rogan seemed to be all for the idea of former first lady Michelle Obama making a run for the White House, claiming it’s the only way a “super team” like Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) could be beaten.
“The only thing that would stop her is if she bought into some of these policies that are destroying businesses in America that are making people scared,” Rogan explained.
He added: “If she somehow or another supported or showed any support for lockdowns and mandates and all this craziness that’s going on.”
Rogan, host of The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, seemed to pile on the praise for the former first lady, and offered several avenues of approach should she decide to jump on the 2024 ticket.
“She’s great, she’s articulate, she’s intelligent, she’s the wife of the best President that we have had in our lifetime … she can win,” Rogan said, likely catching most of the media off-guard, as they’ve painted him as an ultra, right-wing conservative in recent months.
Jokingly, but somewhat seriously, Rogan added that Obama could form a super team of her own by teaming up with Vice President Kamala Harris, saying it would give the Democratic Party a “double dose of diversity,” since race and gender seem to be at the top of the priority list for job qualifications on the left.
Rogan then went on to add that if that hypothetical were to play out, Trump would have no choice but to team up with DeSantis and form a “super team” of their own.
Could she run?
There were early rumors of a possible Michelle Obama run, but nothing concrete. However, given the current state of the Democratic Party, and Harris’ unlikelihood of being able to beat a candidate as strong as Trump or DeSantis on her own, nothing should be off the table.
As a matter of fact, Las Vegas bookmakers, who are frighteningly accurate, place Michelle Obama as their eighth choice to be the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, giving her 25/1 odds — not a sure bet, but not a longshot, either.
Harris, as vice president, would be the presumptive nominee without question, had she logged even an average job performance and polling numbers during her first year. However, that’s not the case, and her numbers continue to decline, forcing the Democratic Party to presumably strategize over whether she should be replaced.
Only time will tell, but one shouldn’t be surprised if eventually someone like Michelle Obama, or Hillary Clinton, jumps into the fray. Crazier things have happened.
